Roles and Responsibilities

• 2+ Years’ experience in BO/Cognos Reports and PV domain (Mandatory) Experience in developing and implementing reports based on client specifications.
• Experience in deploying BO, creating Universe and setup of Framework Model in Cognos.
• Good knowledge in creating Webi, Desktop reports in BO and Report studio, Query studio in Cognos Understanding business requirements and documentation.
• Good knowledge in Central Management server of BO and Framework Manager in Cognos Experienced in creating Database/Data source and customize Reports.
• Experienced in RDMS and writing SQL/PLSQL.
• Good with Analytics, Troubleshooting skill, dashboards

Skills and Competencies

• Possesses good analytical and reasoning skills.
• Must have Knowledge of Pharmacovigilance domain and Drug Safety Systems Must have good written & oral communication skills.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

Designing and developing BI reports, Paginated Reports, and dashboards:

This involves understanding the business requirements, designing the semantic model AND/OR Dataflows, and creating visualizations that provide actionable insights. Having hands-on experience in writing proficient DAX expressions to implement complex data transformation and filtering logic.

Data management:

Power BI developers are responsible for managing data sets, ensuring they are clean, accurate, and curated according to the Business Requirements. This often involves data extraction from the source and adding transformation according to the report/visualization requirements. Candidate must be well-versed in creating deployment pipelines and managing content across different PBI Environments (DEV, TEST, QA, PROD)

Collaborating with stakeholders:

Power BI developers work closely with various stakeholders, including business analysts, project managers, and data scientists, to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet them.

Ensuring Data Accuracy:

Power BI developers must ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data presented in the dashboards and reports. This involves validating the data and implementing quality checks.

Training end-users:

Power BI developers often train end-users on how to use the dashboards and reports effectively. This includes explaining how to interpret the data and make data-driven decisions.

Troubleshooting and maintenance:

Power BI developers troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure the Power BI Published components are refreshing to their scheduled frequency. Helping the team members to fix gateway connection issues and access issues. Creating and Maintaining Subscriptions for reports and assessing impact for any enhancements or data changes in the source system

Staying updated:

The data analysis and visualization field is constantly evolving. Power BI developers must stay updated with the latest features, updates, and best practices to leverage them effectively.

Qualification:

BE /B. Tech/ MCA or any related bachelor’s degree.

Skills Required

Good knowledge in working on normalization and De normalization of data, Ad hoc reports.

Possesses good analytical and reasoning skills.

Must have good written & oral communication skills
